Community in Action
Food Insecurities are justice issues that Community United Methodist Church responds to with a passion! We create opportunities for our congregation and community to care about the needs of Columbia Heights and world. We offer responses to both spiritual hunger and physical hunger at Community UMC!
Community Dinners
We respond to food insecurities by serving a free community meal two times a month at our church. Join us on the 2nd or 4th Monday each month from 5:30 - 6:30 pm (or until the food runs out). We are still doing this as pick-up the meal from the church parking lot.

SACA Foodshelf
We collect food and monies for SACA (Southern Anoka Community Assistance) Food Shelf in Columbia Heights.
Community Garden
We raise seedlings into thriving plants and participate in Columbia Heights community garden. The produce from our plot is grown, then taken to SACA Food Shelf for families to eat.
Meals on Wheels
We participate in delivering Meals on Wheels to people in our neighborhood.
Every Meal
We raise money and pack backpacks with food for Every Meal in our local schools.
Feed My Starving Children
We pack meals at Feed My Starving Children.
